12月14日-15日，由中国教育学会高中教育专业委员会主办，成都七中承办的第40届教育研讨会在成都七中（林荫校区）举行。本次教育研讨会主要包括：专家报告、校长论坛、学术论坛以及名校名师公开课等环节，并采用线上直播的方式，使逾千位异地的老师们也能同步参与研讨会。14日下午的英语公开课中，来自康德成都校区——成都七中国际部的资深外教Mr. John Robertson和成都七中高一（9）班的学生合作，为所有参加研讨会的老师们带来一场关于国际理解课程的专题公开课。

在课程开始时，John引入并介绍了由爱德华·德博诺博士研发的思维训练工具——“六顶思考帽”（6 Thinking Hats），它是锻炼学生“平行思维”的一种工具，并可以使学生有效避免将时间浪费在互相争执上。在公开课中，John引导学生利用“六顶思考帽”探讨如何利用网络游戏来解决环境污染问题。两个看似不相关的概念在John风趣幽默的语言引导下变得不再相隔遥远，学生们也慢慢地将思维发散开来，每个人都在不同的角色定位中积极寻找着解决办法。

John在公开课中向所有老师们展示了国际理解课程的独特教学方法：大问题从小切口入手；教师运用问题穿针引线，以问题引领思维能力发展；以融入与体验为主线，学生充分讨论、对话、探究、内化。成都七中国际交流中心主任杨惠老师在评课环节中说道：学生的技能，如数学能力、科学能力、动手能力等将来可能会被科技不断发展所创造出的人工智能所取代，但学生的软实力，如批判性思维、主动性、交流与沟通的能力等将是伴随学生一生的财富。国际理解课程正是基于跨类别的研究，将异文化教育、多元文化教育、国际教育、发展教育、环境教育、和平教育、人权教育涵盖在内的综合性学习活动。

成都七中不仅注重学生的学科能力培养，同时也注重夯实学生的综合实力。为了在学校实践国际理解教育，2017年康德成都校区——成都七中国际部与成都七中合作邀请北京师范大学国际与比较教育研究院姜英敏教授作为指导专家，共同研发出了一套中学国际理解教育课程教学大纲和教材读本，目前课程已在成都七中教育集团部分学校和苏州市近40多所中小学使用。成都七中国际部国际理解课程作为康德集团旗下特色课程之一，从世界文化、世界组织以及国际化问题三个方面出发，培养学生的多元化思维方式。课程上所教授的思维方式不仅可以帮助学生在面对全球化冲击时做到游刃有余、兼容并包，同时学生将这种思维方式运用到现阶段的学术学习中，更可以起到跨学科学习，将知识融会贯通以达到事半功倍的效果。

On December 14th, Mr. John Robertson (teacher from Chengdu No.7 High School International Department) presented an International Understanding demo course to all the teachers who come from different cities in China. John worked with Chengdu No.7 High School students to deliver an excellent class to all the audience.

At the beginning of the class, John introduced the “6 Thinking Hats”theory to the audience which was utilized to help the students to solve the question “how to create an online game in order to solve environmental pollution?” During the demo class, John inspired students to find out the connection between the environmental pollution and online games by using some cases from current real life.

The teaching methods of international Understanding Course included: based on small topics to solve the problems, inspired students’ thinking by initiating questions and discussions to seek out solutions. All of these methods could train students’ soft skills such as critical thinking, creativity,  opportunity recognition and etc, and these soft skills would be the fortune for students in their whole life.

Chengdu No.7 High School is not only focus on the students’ study ability, but also value students’ soft skills. In 2017, Cogdel Education Group cooperated with Chengdu No.7 High School to develop a series of International Understanding Course syllabus and teaching material. Currently, Cogdel International Understanding Course is utilized into more than 40 schools in Chengdu and Suzhou. Cogdel International Understanding Course helps students to foster their thinking methods and gain more comprehensive knowledge in terms of World Cultures, World Organizations and World Issues which could be used to their study as well as solving the conflicts when they are facing culture differences.
